Last week we did a little day trip to Walchensee, which happens to be one of my very favorite places to visit in Bavaria. We did a hike up to Herzogstand which was a little challenging (for us) but the views were well worth it. I mean, seriously…this is beautiful.

Even though Munich is only a short drive away from the Italian boarder, we had yet to make it down there in the 5 years I have lived here. Until last week that is. We finally made a little roadtrip down to Lake Garda and what we saw did not disappoint. It is so beautiful there, I think my photos hardly do it any justice!
We camped just outside the small town on the Northwest side, Limone sul Garda. We wandered the small streets, ate gelato, swam, paddleboarded, and of course drank wine…it was perfect. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Last week spring peeked it’s head out and some friends and I went for a hike around the beautiful Walchensee in Bavaria. Unfortunately this weekend is quite chilly and rainy…but hoping the magnificent weather comes back to us soon!
