This is our second summer here in Asheville. Last year we had just arrived and were just beginning to settle into life here. This year has had it’s shares of ups and downs (as life does especially when moving to a new place!) but over all we couldn’t be more in love with Western NC. The amount of natural beauty continues to blow my mind, and even after a year, there are endless places to play and explore.
Looking back through photos always helps me feel grateful. As summer is winding down I am feeling so much gratitude for this amazing place that we call home and I only hope to do it some justice with my photography.

We moved to Asheville a couple months ago and I have been taking my camera everywhere with me. There is so much beauty here in every direction. I was very excited to head up to Craggy Pinnacle one evening to shoot some of my favorite people on the planet. The sun rays and clouds put on quite a show for us. What a place we live in ♡
Here are some of my favorites from that evening….
2016 was an interesting year. A lot of good mixed in with some bad. It was a bit of a roller-coaster. Looking back through photos of the year is always therapeutic for me though…reminding me of all the good times. I am very much looking forward to some new adventures in 2017! Cheers to everyone I had the pleasure of working with this year and to all my friends and family. May this year be filled with love, laughter, and new memories.
