My family and I recently went on a trip to Guatemala. What a beautiful country with colorful and friendly people. I never once felt unwelcome or in any danger. The life here is very simple and so different from where I live…always a good reminder of why I love to travel. It’s always about getting a new perspective on things.
The husband and I recently went to Savannah for the weekend and when I came home I looked through my photos…almost every one was of the beautiful oak trees.
No wonder. <3

When I told people we were going to Nicaragua for the holidays I got everything from “Be careful!!” to “Do you have your shots??” to “Why??” and just about everything in between. So just to clear things up for everyone who has their doubts about this little gem in Central America, the war is over. This is a fascinating and beautiful country to visit. A country with incredibly beautiful and friendly people and not once did I feel unsafe or even unwanted.
I was inspired by Nicaragua and it’s lifestyle. I left feeling relaxed. I learned once again to live in the moment. It is such a wonderful country and I cannot wait to return.

I am in love. Again.
In the past few months I have been out to Seattle twice and I have to say, the beautiful PNW has captured my full attention. Yes, it rains. A lot. But how else would you get those lush greens? Those are not photo-shopped. It really is that green there. And that foggy light?? It is most definitely unlike any place I have been. In a very good way.
Here are a view photos from my recent (but certainly not last) trip…
