scotland, part two…highlands & isle of skye

The first part of our trip to Scotland was really amazing. Little day trips through Dunbar and East Lothian were really beautiful and I enjoyed every minute. But I have to say, our trip up through the Highlands and Isle of Skye left me speechless. It is so majestic and peaceful up there. The colder, misty air belongs to the area and you really feel a sense of how small you are.

Like I said before, we didn’t go in high tourist season, so most places we had to ourselves. And while the grass hadn’t quite turned green yet and the winds howled through the valleys, it didn’t take anything away from what an amazing place this is.

…it is really no wonder to me why the Scots are so proud of their little corner of the world.
