I am a sucker when it comes to animals. (Particularly man’s four legged best friend)  Usually if there is an animal around, I am most likely trying to take a photo of it…as you can see here, here, here…oh, and definitely here. So when the hubby and I decided to visit Giraffe Ranch last week, I was in heaven.  What an amazing experience to visit this place. To be so close to so many amazing creatures was truly awesome, for lack of a better word.

Here are some of the photos from our day there…

christmastime already…

I see it everywhere already…it seems as though here in the US Christmas is pushed at you right after Halloween. What happened to Thanksgiving people?? Anyhow, moving on. Even though Munich winters leave something to be desired for me as far as weather goes, there is one thing I am looking forward to… that festive month leading up to the Christmas holiday.

Gluhwein, holiday markets, Tollwood, and downtown decorations really make that month of December quite bearable. Cities all around Europe decorate for the holiday season, but in my humble opinion, the Germans and Austrians really do things up right. For the weeks leading up to Christmas, it’s like a little holiday wonderland in these areas and I love it.

This year will be only my second time being in Munich for the holiday season, so I am looking forward to capturing a bit more of the festivities. Here are a couple of my favorites from Munich and around!

stylish camera bags…

· November 7, 2012 · 7:24 pm · Personal

So I have searched and searched for a camera bag that actually looks like a purse for what feels like forever. I had found some here and there that were kinda cute or way over my budget…until this week. I stumbled across the website for Kelly Moore Bags and after looking over her very user friendly website and watching an extremely helpful video on the bag I was curious about, I went ahead and splurged a bit (for my budget at the moment!) on the B-hobo bag and let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier with it!

The bag itself is very nice quality, fits my camera (d700) with a lens attached as well as an additional lens and personal items, and it looks great. Basically everything I was looking for. They carry a line of bags including stylish ones for men as well. Just had to share in case any of you out there are like me and are on the hunt for something a little unique to carry around your gear while traveling!
