This past week I had the honor of photographing a workshop held on Flourish Flower Farm just north of Asheville, NC. I had been following Niki’s instagram page for some time so when I was able to go to her farm and capture the magic of her beautiful space, I was so excited! The people who visit her farm all seem to have the same reaction…pure joy. I heard it again and again from her workshop attendee’s, “I just feel so happy here!!”

And it’s no wonder. Her space, her flowers, and just her general presence is enough to make anyone feel amazing. She hosts workshops, arranges flowers for weddings and elopements, and provides fresh flowers for local stores. Here is her website if you are ever in need of flower therapy ♡

Every year I like to look back and pick out my favorite images from the year. I didn’t have quite as many this year as in years past, but that is one of my resolutions, to focus more on photography and to challenge myself to learn some new aspects of the art. I am hopeful for 2018. We are making some big changes in our lives and I hope to be more creative and inspired because of it. So while 2017 had some rough patches, there were some beautiful moments…and here are a few of my favorites.
